*****SHIPPING & DELIVERY*****
To help ensure the safe and secure arrival of your purchase, all domestic shipments from Fickle Moon Antiques require a signature upon delivery. Each item is professionally packed with exceptional care and fully insured throughout transit.
By purchasing, the buyer acknowledges responsibility for being available to accept and sign for the package at the designated delivery address. Signature confirmation helps protect both buyer and seller and provides added peace of mind when shipping unique antique and vintage treasures.
At Fickle Moon Antiques, we specialize in authentic antique and vintage objects that naturally reflect the passage of time. As such, items may exhibit varying degrees of wear, age-related character, restorations, replacement parts, imperfections, distress, and/or repairs consistent with their history and use.
We make every effort to accurately describe and photograph each piece to the best of our ability. Photographs are considered an important part of the item description and should be carefully reviewed prior to purchase. The absence of a specific condition note does not imply that an item is free from wear, imperfections, or restoration.
If the exterior of the package shows signs of damage, buyers must photograph the box before opening. Once opened, the item(s) should be thoroughly inspected and any damage documented with clear photographs from multiple angles.
In the event of shipping damage, all original packing materials — including the box, inserts, padding, and wrapping materials — must be retained. Carriers such as FedEx, UPS, and United States Postal Service may require inspection of both the item and original packaging to determine the cause of damage and confirm that appropriate packing methods were used. Inspection may occur at either the recipient’s location, the shipper’s location, or at a designated claims facility.
Buyers are required to contact Fickle Moon Antiques within 24 hours of delivery if an item arrives damaged. No exceptions can be made, as delayed reporting may void shipping insurance coverage and carrier claim eligibility. Buyers may also be required to contact the shipping carrier directly to coordinate inspection procedures.
Please note: if a buyer elects to use a third-party shipping or freight forwarding service, the buyer assumes full responsibility for handling any damage claims directly with that provider.
International Customers
At Fickle Moon Antiques, we are pleased to work with collectors and customers around the world. International buyers are kindly asked to contact us prior to purchase so that we may provide an accurate shipping estimate based on destination and item size.
Please note that all international sales are considered final and are non-refundable. Buyers are responsible for any customs fees, import duties, taxes, or other charges required by their country. In accordance with international shipping regulations, Fickle Moon Antiques does not alter or reduce declared customs values.
We encourage all questions regarding condition, shipping, or import requirements to be discussed before completing your purchase to ensure a smooth and enjoyable transaction.
All lighting offered by Fickle Moon Antiques is professionally wired to U.S. electrical standards (110V–120V). Customers located in countries operating on 220V–240V electrical systems will need to use a proper step-down voltage converter — not simply a plug adapter — in order to safely operate these fixtures.
Failure to use an appropriate voltage converter may result in damage to the lamp, electrical components, bulbs, or surrounding property. Fickle Moon Antiques cannot be held responsible for damage, malfunction, injury, or accidents resulting from improper electrical use or failure to use a step-down converter.
We encourage all international customers to consult a qualified electrician or electrical professional if they have any questions regarding compatibility or safe operation prior to use.

The buyer is required to contact us immediately (within 24 hours) if their item arrives damaged so that the proper claims procedures can be initiated. Claims personnel (FedEx, UPS, USPS) will inspect the damaged package to determine the cause of damage and verify that proper packing materials were used (in accordance with the shipping terms). Claims personnel may inspect the package at the shipper’s or receiver’s site, or may collect the package for inspection at a claims facility. If the buyer hires a third-party shipping agent and the item is damaged, the buyer has full responsibility to handle the claim with their agent.
