Steuben Hearts and Vines Art Glass Shades. (Pair)
Steuben ‘Hearts & Vines’ Art Glass Shades (2)
A very nice pair of signed Steuben art glass shades; early 20th century ‘hearts & vines’ motif. One shade is slightly darker than its mate. No chips, cracks or repairs. Overall excellent vintage condition with slight roughness to the fitter rims that is commensurate with age. Brilliant glow when lit! Minor small areas of missing vine applique which is normal for these vintage shades. Both of the shades have faded remnants of the Fleur-de-lis acid mark. A signature is required upon delivery.
Steuben Glass Works was founded in 1903; Corning, New York.
Antiques are not new and may show variable wear, defects, restorations, replacement parts, imperfections, distress, and or repairs. We make great efforts to accurately characterize each item and the photographs are in integral part of the item description. If the box appears damaged upon arrival, we ask that you take photographs before opening the box. Upon opening, please inspect the item(s) for damage; document as well with photographs if damaged. It is imperative that you keep all of the original shipping-packing materials if your item is damaged during shipment. The buyer should contact us immediately (within 24 hours) if their item arrives damaged so that the proper claims procedures can be initiated. Delays in notification will only extend the time that it takes for the claim to be resolved. Claims personnel (FedEx, UPS, USPS) will inspect the damaged package to determine the cause of damage and verify that proper packing materials were used (in accordance with the shipping terms). Claims personnel may inspect the package at the shipper’s or receiver’s site, or may collect the package for inspection at a claims facility. If the buyer hires a third-party shipping agent and the item is damaged, the buyer has full responsibility to handle the claim with their agent.
