Items that are too large and exceed the limits of the three common carriers must be shipped through a third-party shipping agent. It will be the responsibility of the buyer to secure a shipping agent and we will work with your selected shipping agent. It is recommended to get at least three estimates from insured shipping agents. We are not affiliated with any shipping agent(s) and we are not responsible for any loss or damage upon the release of an item to a third party shipping agent.
Antique and vintage items may show variable wear, defects, restorations, replacement parts, imperfections, distress, and or repairs. The absence of condition remarks does not imply that the item is in perfect condition. No statement in this listing shall be deemed to be a warranty, representation, or assumption of liability with respect to age, condition, size, quality, variety, importance, provenance, or historical relevance of any of these items. We make great efforts to accurately characterize each item and the photographs are in integral part of the item description. Please note that photographs may have had size modifications for display purposes, or been trimmed to exclude framing, matting, and wide blank margins. Also, variations in color may occur due to digital processing. All items are sold “as is”, “as found”.
CLAIMS:
If the box appears damaged upon arrival, we ask that you take photographs before opening the box. Upon opening, please inspect the item(s) for damage; document as well with photographs if damaged. It is imperative that you keep all of the original shipping-packing materials if your item is damaged during shipment. The buyer should contact us immediately (within 24 hours) if their item arrives damaged so that the proper claims procedures can be initiated. Delays in notification will only extend the time that it takes for the claim to be resolved. Claims personnel (FedEx, UPS, USPS) will inspect the damaged package to determine the cause of damage and verify that proper packing materials were used (in accordance with the shipping terms). Claims personnel may inspect the package at the shipper’s or receiver’s site, or may collect the package for inspection at a claims facility. If the buyer hires a third-party shipping agent and the item is damaged, the buyer has full responsibility to handle the claim with their agent.
